The EDDY House
The EDDY HouseContact: Katie DeinesBiography
Mission Statement: Eddy House works with homeless and at-risk youth to develop life and job skills necessary for sustainable independence.
Vision Statement: Eddy House intends to end youth homelessness in Northern Nevada.
About Eddy House: We are the House of Help. The House of Hope™. We are a day program drop-in center for all at-risk and homeless youth, ages 12-24, in Downtown Reno. Eddy House is the central intake/assessment and resource drop-in facility for all homeless youth in northern Nevada. One of the main goals of Eddy House is to find innovative solutions to assist the underserved homeless youth and at-risk youth populations in our community.
In 2017, Eddy House served over 769 individual youth under the age of 24. We have assisted 200 young people with securing employment since April 2016. To better meet program goals and the demand for services, Eddy House has developed a model that is relationship-based. We have developed a genuine, empathetic, and respectful relationship with Reno’s homeless youth. Young people trust Eddy House and identify our facility as a physically and psychologically safe place to be. This is supported by the fact that Eddy House gains clients primarily through word of mouth on the streets.
Goal: Our primary goal will be to create the sustainable funding necessary to continue to run the Drop-in center and lower the barriers to supportive services for our day to day operations as well as take action to demonstrate our commitment to the community through long-term funding. Our secondary goal will be to expand hours of operations and eventually build and/or move to a 24-hour drop-in facility for homeless youth in Downtown Reno

Transitioning HomeBiography
The Money Follows the Person Transitioning Home program gives Nevadans currently residing in nursing facilities and other institutions the opportunity to transition back into their respective communities.
In order to help eligible participants with the transition process, the program can pay for goods and services, such as furniture, appliances, moving expenses, and housing deposits. See the SERVICES tab for a full list of program benefits.
MFP also gives most participants the option of self-direction, allowing them to decide where they want to live and who will assist them upon returning to the community.
